I shot the large structure fire in Mapunapuna a couple of days ago.  It was quite a rush, at the same time stressful, because police had closed all the roads on the grids surrounding the three-alarm fire.  On foot it was.  Two cameras, laptop, and a pocketful of will.  Because the streetlights were cut, it was quite dark, so I was able to move swiftly and undetected to try and get a good position on the fire.  Here's one of my faves, showing the breadth and scope of the fire.  I had to climb up a warehouse rooftop to get to it.  (off the record).

Spot news is always exhilarating, and when the fruits of your effort show, it makes it all the more rewarding.  Thank goodness no one was hurt.
